Sounds pretty neat. To upload files, I would suggest using the free file hosting service Mediafire. Looking forward to playing your mod.

Looks pretty cool.

Just two suggestions:
1. Anything that interacts with the player should generally be outlined in black.

2. Items shouldn't be used as decoration. The player shouldn't get over 100 ammo from one level alone!

I liked the item doors, and the fact that the items were random stuff. Almost gives the game a surreal feel to it.

A good start. I like the blue colour scheme and the blue/purple block fits in well. The butler bot replacement looks nice. I'd say get rid of the yorps, design your own monster there, (I'm sick of seeing recoloured Yorps) the others are nice (You have to move the black mask a bit in some frames for the Clone and the Vortikid), if you look over at Keen:Modding you could get help with using ck1patch, and change the behaviour of the monsters as you please.

I think you should still work on your level design (a lot of those areas seem pretty pointless (not as in "there are no points", but "there is no point going there") and you use a lot of loose tiles (The green water should always be enclosed for example, after all it's liquid, the blue fella comming out of the ground shouldn't be hovering in the air), work a bit at your environment. It sometimes helps if you know what kind of room you are trying to depict there (have a back story in mind for the level).

I find very positive that you try to change as much as possible! I hope you put some more effort in it and I'm sure it will turn out great. If you need any specific help I think it's best to address the Keen:Modding forum.

I suggest you use theneuralstunner by Mink.
Save the patchfile the program gives you as maybe "clones.pat"

Place a copy of ck1patch.exe in your mod directory, and make a new text file.
write: ck1patch clones.pat
save the file as clones.bat
(don't rename the Keen1.exe to Clones.exe, like you did, change it back to the original name)
Then run clones.bat and the patches changing the texts are applied

Nice work, your mod shows quite a bit of potential. The color scheme works well, and the new graphics are nice. I especially like the white spikes and the ice cannons and was pretty shocked by the Vorticon replacement. Are the blue lizards related to ceilicks by any chance?

Aside from what the others mentioned, my main suggestion is to work some more on the details of the levels and how tiles are used. Everything's functional now, but it would be nice to see areas that look a little more complete, eg. the green slime hazards, ice cubes being spawned without the cannons, etc.

Tulip nicely outlined how to change the text. If you do decide to use TNS, though, you probably won't need to manually create a batch file - the program should make one automatically when you save the patch file (if it doesn't, please let me know so I can fix it). If you don't have CKPatch, you can get it at: http://files.keenmodding.org/ckpatch-0.10.0.zip

As for editing the map, I can't say I have much experience with KeenEdit. Is that the text based one? If so, I recommend trying out Mindbelt. It's the one I use and works quite well.

Played through. I agree with most of the suggestions made by others, and also wanted to say the color scheme is great. I really like the way you mix purple and blue :)

Ah cool, I like the new monsters. The batteries are very cute. The new blocks turned out great, psychedelic in a way.

Nice that you found a tutorial for ckpatch. Once you know how that works patching will be no problem for you, I'm sure.
You don't need patchotron, it's buggy and outdated. Use theneuralstunner like I said, it is very easy to use. Download it here: http://files.commanderkeen.org/users/mi ... nerv02.zip
