It only lacks the big pckf gif on the top left corner

I vote for a relatively simple banner, preferably closer to the height of the default one. There's already a lot of information overload going on with this layout. Granted, that will improve when a custom skin is eventually implemented, and some degree of colourful flair is appropriate for a Keen forum. Just as long as it doesn't add too much to the clutter. (I would kind of like to see an oldschool Geocities style starfield background, though.)

It wouldn't be too hard to set up a randomised banner featuring various mods and fanart that can be added to over time. Particularly on Keen:Modding it would be neat to have a range of banners representing particular mods that have been released.

Looking forward to new post status icons. Somehow that red just doesn't stand out upon a quick glance, and focusing on them directly to tell them apart is physically painful.

I really like that randomised banner idea. We could even add banners to that on something like a quarterly basis through a fan art contest of some kind. (Although that could make some people feel bad, so maybe not.)

Re: Geocities starfield. We should also make a Cameron's World clone called Commander's World.

Edit: ooh, just noticed the new social media details options. Nice.

To get back on topic:

Andy notified me that text encoding got messed up in the upgrade. (That's why some punctuation is appearing as a string of weird characters.) On Keen: Modding, this should be pretty easy to fix thanks to Stack Overflow. Here, though, it somehow got D-D-D-D-DOUBLE BUTCHERED, and some of the strings are no longer reparable by machine. Therefore, I'll need to do some search-and-replace. I'll need to temporarily take the boards down to do this (so the database is in a consistent state). That will happen in a couple days. I will fix up the pckf.com links at the same time.

Also, in case you're wondering why they disappeared from the subforums list, Keening_Product and Levellass are still moderators, but I turned them into phpBB 3 "global moderators" to clean up the index page a little. Thanks to them for keeping the PCKF free of spam!

What do you mean 'to get back on topic'? Three of the above posts demonstrate ways of encoding text.
