Re: Omnispeak v1.1
Ah, alright. Since I've already got a .bat file set up for running episode 6, I'll just add the /NOCOPY to that then.

Re: Omnispeak v1.1
I can't seem to find the omnispeak.cfg file. I wanted to disable the creature question for Keen 6.

Re: I'm Ilsoap (Screenhog). Hi everyone. It's been a while. I need help with a dll file.
So if I'm understanding correctly, you have the dll but just need to know where to put it?
Have you tried putting it in the same folder as the program you're trying to run? That's typically worked for me when I've needed cncs32.dll to run Click 'n' Play / The Games Factory / etc. games.

How were DOS games' graphics made?
If you look at the files of many DOS games, the graphics will be in a proprietary (not sure if I'm using the right term there) format, such as Keen Vorticons' EGALATCH.CK# or Jazz Jackrabbit's BLOCKS.### (where ### is different numbers for the episodes in Keen, and for the levels in Jazz). Does anyo...

Re: Keen 0 Plus
I think you forgot to add play.bat though. Oh, you are correct. I know why, it's because I also have import.bat and export.bat for Modkeen importing and exporting the graphics in the folder where I was working on the mod, so I must've absent-mindedly though like ".bat files don't need to be in...

Keen 0 Plus
I was always kinda annoyed that with my mod Keen 0, I hex edited the EXE file instead of using patching. (Which I think also caused some bugs) So today I fixed that and made a few other changes while I was at it. And removed my deadname and my old PCKF username... (You can find a list of changes in ...

Re: Where to start?
Yeah it's not a bad mechanic it just might take a little getting used to. Although honestly I don't recall having had any problem getting used to it, but I think I actually played the Vorticons games pretty early in terms of my history of first playing different games, so it might be that I didn't h...

Re: What bands or musicians do you listen to?
The first band I ever bought an album by, I'm pretty sure I remember correctly, was King Crimson. As for more recent favourites I like Black Dresses a lot, and various solo stuff and other collaborations from that band's two members, Devi McCallion and Ada Rook. There are a lot more (I like Aphex Tw...

Re: Where to start?
Second the recommendation of Keens 1 and 4 as a starting point. Particularly Keen 4, the in-level saving makes it more accessible as an introduction (and the Vorticons trilogy's "wind up" on jumps might take a little getting used to), but Keen 1 is definitely still worth a shot.
