Re: Welcome to the migrated PCKF!
This seems like a good place as any to say hello, so hello! you guys don't mind a newbie, do you? I may not have played Keen for a long time, but I certainly never forgot about it (truth be told I always felt bad about shooting him in Doom, curse you Adrian Carmack!) anyways just wanted to say hi, feel free to give feedback and suggestions on my videos or send a p.m. and just say whats up... don't worry i'm not here for fame and fortune so I won't be spamming posts about my uploads or anything like that, just want to meet some cool Keen fans now that i'm getting back into the game

Welcome indeed!
Unrelatedly, I just deleted literally hundreds of accounts on K:M that had zero existing posts and were created between the forum migration and the implementation of better anti-spam measures. (Leaving them alone would have been less than optimal because lots of them had spam links in their profile, which can get indexed by search engines.) As usual, let me know if anything undesirable is happening.

HTTPS is now enabled on both this domain and keenmodding.org! Thanks to Let's Encrypt for providing free certificates.

The funny thing is I was actually about to ask you if you could. I access pckf from public wifi sometimes, and while I doubt most of the people around would have the technical knowledge to skim my login info, it's appreciated.
Thanks Fleex!

After that change, every time I visit this site, I need to log-in!
Re: Welcome to the migrated PCKF!
those who could don't care about https when setting up a honeypot and playing "man in the middle". if you don't trust public wifi I highly recommend using a VPN.
besides that, thank you fleex for providing this option!

Re: Welcome to the migrated PCKF!
This happens due to the way cookies work. If you always visit the HTTP or always visit the HTTPS version, your cookies will remain intact. However, if you log in with HTTPS and then visit the HTTP version, your browser will remove the cookie for security (it would be bad to send an intended-to-be-secure cookie over an insecure connection). I had changed the inter-board links to use the HTTPS version, which is probably triggering this behavior when you manually visit the HTTP version. I just now fixed those links to be protocol-relative, so you'll be directed to the same version of the site that you're already on. Apologies for the inconvenience. To make sure you get the secure version, I suggest updating your bookmarks/history to be HTTPS.
