Weird Game

Post by Zahrod »

Anyone every play "Demon Blue?"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXdKaRsc3WA

I obtained it so many moons ago because the characters and color palette looked so nice. Plus, you have to dodge things and collect stuff.

Don't know if a full version is out there for sale or if it's been released by the owners; It's just a very neat game.

You can get it here: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/582/Demon+Blue.html

I would play this along side Duke Nukem, Bio Menace, etc...

You can tell this game was inspired by Epic Megagames.

I don't know whether to give this game a shot or pass it up.

My attraction to weirdness says go for it but I dunno.

He hates JonTron (especially after he bashed Monster Bash)

Personally I'm a fan of JonTron, even though I disagree with some of his reviews he's pretty hilarious, and on stuff I do agree with he kind of nails it.

Yeah, I found Paramultart's comment about the video. I never played Monster Bash until recently, so I do not have emotional attachment to it like I do with Keen. That doesn't change the fact that Jon is terrible at the game. He did say in a later video that he was fucling stupid for not being able to get passed the second level. His newer reviews are much much better.

The coincidence is strong with this one. :p

But yeah, he has gotten better.

Yeah, I tend to agree with that Youtuber's opinions on Monster Bash. I didn't really care for it at all --although to be fair, most of these games require taking some time to get used to them. But my favorites were Crystal Caves, Biomenace, and Keen the most for the old school DOS games. Well, I should also include Rayman as a different kind of a game (but a much later release, around 1995 or 1996).

I just found out that you can legally purchase Rayman Forever made for Windows on GOG.com for only 6 bucks, which is really freaking cool. I think I may be playing a lot of Rayman tonight. I wonder if you can make it work with a 360 controller.

Just about anything can be made to work, but the results aren't always pleasant (Keen for example)
