Keen's mouth is doing that. If someone can draw that better, please do.

Also, strong probability this mod will be renamed "Night of the Vool", as I feel this better reflects the story (still working out the kinks).

I vote this be the actual title screen because man, that's awesome.

I modified the drawing code; now the game only stores one shift per sprite. It saves a huge amount of memory!

These renditions of the title screen are perfect.

All of them.

They are.
But the original one is still the best for me.

Hmm... I feel that the creases around his mouth make him look like an old man. He's too cartoonish and they add a little too much detail for the style of art. Honestly, I think the shape of the original mouth is probably okay. Maybe just a subtle tweak, like this

How... HOW did you get EGA to do that? What did you modify? Details! Details!

Plasma Captain, that's nicely done - a very minor but effective change to what is an excellent title screen. Iunno if Ceilick is looking to make changes, but if he is I think your contribution is the best reinterpretation.

Nice effort, wiivn, but I agree with Plasma Captain, more lines make him look older (and uglier :p ). Plasma Captain's is close, but the white breaks on the tooth line are really glaring to me. I'll think about and maybe work with that one, thank you!

Re Lemm's new drawing code, yes, it frees up a bunch of memory! But, as a side effect, Keen's movement, some of the physics, and the scrolling feel different than typical Keen Galaxy. I'm uncertain at this point if this mod will be using it.

Oh, that was just an extra change I threw in to make the game run at 70 FPS instead of 35. I didn't like it, either, so I took it out. The memory-saving code is still there though!
